Mighty One

You are the mighty One. You are Creator of all and in control of all! Your hands have spun the world into existence and You have breathed life into all things. The water is in the ocean and is held in place because of Your work. The mountains stand and do not crumble into the sea because of how You have orchestrated creation.

When I look around nature and see all the various and many animals, insects and plants, I am amazed at what creativity You have. My place is very small, a fleck or a spot. A minuscule portion of a grain of sugar is more vast than what I am and can know.

God, my place is below You and from there I can see Your Glory.

Give me Your eyes. Let me see what You see. Help me to see past the mist and fog of this world, so that I can serve You better. I want to serve You, but I’m not sure how to do that in my day in day out life.

Now that I have come to know God, or rather, to be known by God, why do I turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of this world, whose slave I wish to become once more?
